Chrysanthemum Junk Journal

Sharing my latest junk journal for TsunamiRose Designs
The base for the cover is an old book that i covered with a textured paper. I chose the base mainly due to it's curved spine. This will be the first curved spine journal i have made and i really enjoyed it. The main advantage of using a curved spine is that it allows you to have a floating spine. Perfect for creating a chunky journal as it as this method allows the signatures to lie flat when opened.

For the main pages i used the digital kit "chrysanthemums" by Tsunami Rose Designs as well as a few other items from her other kits - Charming Fragments, Tag Collection, Victorian Words and a few other ephemera sets. I also added coffee dyed papers and a few patterned papers from my stash.
There is a video flip through of this journal at: https://youtu.be/lslrpe6upag

Left page- i added some stencilling and glued an envelope from the 'envelope kit' and used it as a pocket to hold a journalling card.
right page- i have used one of the bunting from a large bunting card pack, covered it with tissue paper and added some stencilling. I have made this so that it is a flap.

side tuck spot

left page- a have made a waterfall of 3 mats where photos can be added. i have used the tickets to form  magnetic flap closure
I used vintage fabric and vintage buttons for decoration on some of the pages

To decorate the cover i have used a fabric flower, eyelash trim and cheese cloth. I then added a few fabric flowers in beige and black
