My Besties Spanish DT Inspiration Make Challenge #39

Hi Happy Crafters, 

I am so happy to be on the design team for My Besties Spanish Challenge Blog! I am joining a great team of talented ladies.

This is my first design team inspiration make for the September #39 challenge.  
The topic for this month is "Anything Goes" (always)

For this months challenge i used this beautiful digi stamp. Click here for the image. I thought I would make something that I hadn't done before, so I made a lantern, keeping in line with the theme of this digi image. 

Decorated lantern

I coloured the image using my alcohol pens, and colour pencils. i added lace and velour trim around the edges of the lantern and the edges of the cut out windows.
I also added black mesh sheeting from my craft stash on the inside of the cut out windows.

Perfect for tea lights

The lantern measures 6 inches in height and 4 inches on each side of the sides.
 I cut out windows on all the sides except the front.


I blended distress ink and inks on white card panels to add colour to the sides.

I also used my flower folder to emboss the card before sticking the sides then added the coloured panels.

This is how the lantern looks at night when a tea light is added.

• Brilliance Pigment Ink - 'pearlescent purple'
• Versa Magic Chalk Ink - ' purple hydrangea'
• Homemade purple mica glimmer spray 
• Spectrum Noir Inks - DR1, CR11, true black, FS2, FS3, CR11, OR1, LV1, PL2, CR10, CT1, CT3, BT1
• Stabilo pens - black, white
